SYNOPSIS

Hold for Eight is a sports drama that explores themes of identity, resilience, family, and redemption. The story follows a troubled suburban teenager who, despite his privileged environment, chooses a path of bad decisions. After being sent to rural Oklahoma to live with his estranged father, the protagonist embarks on a transformative journey of self-discovery through the sport of bull riding. Set against the rugged backdrop of the American Midwest, the story also sheds light on the overlooked contributions of African Americans to Western culture.
